How can I open an EKMD account?

What makes a good password?
It is essential that the passwords you create are unique and are not easily guessed, such as dates and names of loved ones. Furthermore, a good password must contain at least an upper-case letter, a lower-case letter, numbers, and special symbol an must be at least 12 characters in length.
How long does it take to open an EKMD account?
Before and EKMD account is opened, we must verify the user's information. This process can take anywhere from several hours to a few days. Once the account is opened, you will receive an email with your account information.
Am I eligible to open an EKMD account?
EKMD accounts are opened to laboratory workers, staff, and researchers of the Ein Kerem campus.
How can I connect to my work computer from home?
For administrative staff and lab workers, who have permission from their lab manager, remote access to work computer is possible. However, it is important that you first talk to your computer coordinator to allow access as it is not enabled by default. The Division of Computation have created Instructions can be found here.
How can I find the IP and MAC address of my PC (Windows)?
Commonly, computers will have a sticker, which will have all the needed information. If you cannot find the sticker with the information, you can find it manually:
To find the IP Address of your computer, right click on the network icon, which is found next to the speaker icon, usually on the bottom right corner of the screen then click on "Network and Internet settings." From the window that pops-up, click on the "Ethernet" tab. Your IP Address is written next to "IPv4 address" while your MAC address is written next to "Physical address (MAC)."
